During inspection, officials of the Margao Municipal Council informed there are many storm water drains connected to the nullah originating from the fields near Ravindra Bhavan. The MMC officials further stated that they would inspect the houses separately and issue notices to the households, which are not connected to the sewerage network or do not have a septic tank and soak pit.
It was observed that officials of SIDCGL and PWD, Div XXI insisted for a joint inspection with WRD officials during the execution of the work of cleaning and de-silting of the nullah.
This nullah joins the river Sal within a distance of 500 metres.
