The Crime Branch (CB) has filed its third chargesheet in the Curchorem sex scandal against Soham Naik, son of BJP-backed councillor Sushant Naik.

Officials said the 200-page chargesheet filed under multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), POCSO Act, and the Goa Children’s Act, includes statements of 19 witnesses.

The incident occurred at Quepem when the victim was a minor.

Last week, the CB had filed two separate chargesheets against Naik.

In the first case, the CB submitted a 158-page report before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB), naming 19 witnesses.

Since both the accused and the victim were minors at the time of the alleged offence, the filing was made as a juvenile report instead of a regular chargesheet.

In the second case, the agency filed a 140-page chargesheet backed by statements of 25 witnesses along with electronic and documentary evidence.
