A waiter at a beachside restaurant in Patnem-Canacona was arrested on charges of possessing drugs late Wednesday night.
According to reports, Canacona police conducted a raid and seized 26.9 grams of charas from Sidhlingeshwar Malleshappa Basgi, a native of Bagalkot-Karnataka, but residing at Canacona.
The late Wednesday night NDPS raid is the 8th such narcotics raid since current Police Inspector Pravin Gawas has been posted at Canacona police station and it was conducted under the supervision of DySP Nilesh Rane. Police are conducting further investigation in the narcotics seizure.
