VALPOI

Concerns over a possible shortage of petrol and diesel amid the conflict in the Middle East have started to emerge in Sattari taluka, with motorists rushing to petrol pumps in Valpoi and Nanus.

Long lines of two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers were observed at both locations since morning. At the Valpoi petrol pump in particular, signs of petrol and diesel shortage were noticeable, prompting many motorists to divert to the Nanus petrol pump.

Meanwhile, it is being speculated that ongoing global tensions may lead to a rise in fuel prices and a possible disruption in supply in the coming days. Fearing a shortage, many citizens have rushed to petrol pumps to stock up on fuel.

Reacting to the situation, one motorist said, “Given the uncertainty at the global level, there is a possibility of fuel shortage in the future. As a precaution, we are filling fuel in advance.”
