The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), Goa has urged the North Goa Collector to order an inquiry into allegations that NEET-UG papers and answer sheets were collected 15 minutes early at Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College and Research Centre, Virnoda, Pernem.
In a memorandum submitted on Monday, NSUI claimed the incident occurred in Hall AG-07, where 20 candidates were appearing for the exam. The examination was scheduled from 2 pm to 5.15 pm, but the invigilator allegedly collected papers before the official end time. Students in other halls at the centre were reportedly allowed to write until 5.15 pm, causing candidates in Hall AG-07 to lose 15 minutes.
Describing the incident as a serious procedural lapse, NSUI said it could affect students’ performance, rankings and mental well-being. It demanded an independent inquiry, examination of CCTV footage and records, and corrective measures, including compensatory marks or a re-examination if the allegations are proved.
