This was the first meeting chaired by GPCC president Girish Chodankar after taking charge along with working president MK Shaikh and attended by district Congress presidents from across the State.

Among those present were North Goa District Congress Committee president Shashank Narvekar, South Goa District Congress Committee president Assiz Jacklis Noronha, Kushavati District Congress Committee president Rajesh Shivdas Verenkar and Mhadei District Congress Committee president Mangaldas V Naik.

During the meeting, party leaders reviewed ongoing organisational activities, discussed ways to strengthen the Congress network at the grassroots level and explored strategies to expand the party’s outreach across Goa.

The discussions also focused on addressing public concerns, improving engagement with voters and preparing the organisation for upcoming political challenges ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.

Addressing the gathering, Chodankar stressed the need for unity, discipline and stronger grassroots engagement to build a robust Congress organisation capable of offering what he described as a credible and people-centric alternative in Goa.

The meeting concluded with a collective resolution to work under the slogan, “One Team, One Vision “ A Better Goa in 2027,” with leaders pledging to keep public issues at the centre of the party’s political agenda.
