Those present on the occasion included Deputy Collector Shivprasad Naik, Mamlatdar Ranjit Salgaonkar, officials from different departments and police, Korgao Sarpanch Devidas Nagvekar, Tambose-Mopa-Ugvem Sarpanch Subodh Mahale, Virnoda Sarpanch Swati Malpekar, and panchayat members.
During the meeting, panchayat representatives raised various problems in their areas and offered suggestions to the officials. Attention was drawn to the poor condition of roads in many places, as well as the cleaning of drains, electric wires getting entangled in branches, problems in water supply, and the dangers posed by trees and bushes growing along the roads.
MLA Praveen Arlekar directed officers of all departments concerned to complete the work immediately. He instructed the electricity department to trim branches of trees posing danger, inspect electricity lines and complete the necessary repair work immediately before the monsoon. He also asked them to ensure that the cleaning of roads and drains is completed on time and that the citizens are not inconvenienced.
“The administration should be prepared and work in coordination to avoid any problem during the monsoon,” said Arlekar.
