Maharashtra youth dies in road mishap at Sangolda

PORVORIM A youth from Maharashtra died in a road mishap along the Porvorim-Calangute road at Sangolda in the wee hours of Thursday.
Saligao police said Vikas Ramesh Solat (24) was proceeding on his motorcycle at around 4 am when he he lost the control of the vehicle and rammed into the compound wall of a hotel and sustained grievous injuries. He was later moved to the District hospital at Mapusa, but was declared dead on his admission by doctors on duty. The body was later sent to the Goa Medical College Hospital at Bambolim for a post-mortem examination.
