The Goa Industrial Development Corporation (Goa-IDC) is set to empanel qualified consultancy firms to enhance urban planning and infrastructure development across its industrial estates.

Currently managing 24 industrial estates spread over approximately 4,450 acres, IDC aims to streamline the delivery of architectural, engineering and urban planning services, particularly for projects valued below Rs 50 lakh. The move is intended to ensure faster execution of planning and design works critical to the upkeep and expansion of industrial infrastructure.

IDC has invited Expression of Interest (EoI) for the empanelment. The scope of services emphasis on urban planning, including preparation of master plans, land-use strategies, mobility planning and integrated infrastructure layouts.

As mandated under the Goa Industrial Development Act, 1965, the corporation is responsible for providing and maintaining core infrastructure such as roads, water supply, electricity, street lighting, drainage, sewerage and other civic amenities within these estates.

Officials said the proposed empanelment will facilitate the timely execution of architectural, engineering and urban planning consultancy services for projects valued below Rs 50 lakh.

Official said that the move will enable faster, compliant, and quality‘assured execution of small‘value planning, design, and technical consultancy works essential for the Corporation’s industrial estates and infrastructure development initiatives.

“By adopting a limited tender process among pre-qualified firms, the corporation aims to ensure faster turnaround, regulatory compliance and quality assurance in project delivery,” officials said.

Empanelled firms will also be tasked with designing administrative buildings, utility structures and common facilities, along with preparing detailed architectural drawings, 3D visualisations and construction-ready documentation.

In addition, the consultants will provide structural and MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) engineering inputs, support statutory approvals, and assist in feasibility studies and preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs). Project management services, including site supervision, technical review and coordination across disciplines, will also form a crucial component of the engagement.
