He was speaking after inaugurating a newly built modern Anganwadi Centre at Gauthan-Sanquelim in the presence of Sanquelim Municipal Council Chairperson Siddhi Prabhu, Deputy Chairperson Dayanand Boryekar, municipal councillors and local residents.
The new Anganwadi Centre has been equipped with safe, child-friendly and modern facilities to provide a nurturing environment for children.
The centre is expected to improve early childhood care, nutrition and primary learning facilities for children in the area.
Sawant said the government is working to strengthen social infrastructure across the State through quality facilities and various welfare schemes. He added that such initiatives would not only support child welfare but also empower women at the grassroots level.
He expressed confidence that projects of this nature would further strengthen child welfare services and contribute to the overall progress of society in Goa.
