Organised by the Belagavi Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI) at the Foundry Cluster premises in Udyambag, the exhibition has brought collaboration among stakeholders in the region.
Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industries (GCCI) Chairperson Pratima Dhond emphasised on collaboration between industries and trade between Belagavi and Goa.
“Goa, which is known as the global tourism hub, is also advancing industrially and there is a natural synergy between Belagavi and Goa being geographically close, economically complementary and economically connected,” said Dhond.
“Platforms like BeLEX create opportunities for cross regional partnerships, knowledge exchange and supply chain integrity. I strongly believe that businesses from Goa and Belagavi can work together to unlock new avenues of growth across sectors. The focus must be on building businesses that are economically strong but also sustainable and inclusive.”
MLA Abhay Patil stated that though Belagavi is witnessing overall progress, industrial growth has not kept pace due to inadequate government support.
“Unless industrialists unite and assert their strength, governments will not respond and the government will only reach till Hubballi-Dharwad,” Patil said.
" Efforts are underway to establish an international airport in Belagavi, and Udyambag remains a cornerstone of the city’s industrial strength," he ascertained.
Noted industrialist Jayant Humbarwadi stressed that such exhibitions should be held regularly to maintain momentum.
Highlighting disparities between Hubballi-Dharwad-Belagavi industrial cluster, Humbarwadi noted that multinational companies often receive preferential treatment over domestic enterprises. :"We generate employment and contribute taxes. We must speak boldly and collectively to authorities,” he asserted.
Lalit Gandhi, chairman of the Maharashtra Jain Minority Finance Development Corporation, said that such exhibitions inspire young entrepreneurs but lamented the lack of adequate institutional support.
The exhibition, featuring over 85 stalls, has attracted enthusiastic participation from entrepreneurs across sectors. With free entry and panel discussions scheduled over the next two days, BeLEX 2026 is expected to provide renewed momentum to Belagavi’s industrial ecosystem.
