Carpenter electrocuted in Anjuna

A 29-year-old carpenter from Rajasthan, residing in Harvalem, died of electrocution while working at a construction site in Deulwada, Anjuna, on Thursday afternoon. The incident occurred around 1.30 pm when Mala Raghuram Chand was constructing a metal sheet shed.

After finishing the work, he was descending while lowering a drill machine when he came into contact with an exposed live wire, causing a severe electric shock. A fellow worker immediately switched off the power supply. Chand was taken to a private hospital in Vagator, where he was declared dead on arrival. His body was handed over to the family after post-mortem.
