The body of 40-year-old Sammy Fernandes, who reportedly jumped into the Zuari river from the Sanvordem bridge on Saturday, April 4, was recovered on Sunday following an extensive search operation involving police, navy, and fire personnel. The incident had sparked a large-scale search along the river stretch near Sanvordem. Fire and emergency services personnel, police, navy divers, and local volunteers had been engaged in continuous efforts to locate Fernandes.
