PANAJI:
A second-year postgraduate student of BITS Pilani Goa Campus was allegedly found dead at a rented flat near the institute, marking the seventh reported student death linked to the campus in the last two years.
The deceased has been identified as Arjun Sabu (26), a native of Kerala.
Police sources informed that a suicide note was recovered from the flat and further investigation is in progress.
The incident comes months after the death of Vishnavi Jitesh (20), a third-year student who was found dead in her hostel room on the BITS Pilani Goa Campus on February 1 this year. Police had then registered the case as an unnatural death.
