AC unit copper pipes stolen at Dabolim

A retail outlet at Dabolim was targeted by unknown thieves who made away with copper pipes from the store’s air-conditioning unit, causing losses amounting to Rs 60,400.

According to a complaint lodged by Hemant Avhad, store manager of Zudio store and a resident of Dabolim, the thefts took place on September 22, 2025 at an unspecified time and again on October 27, 2025 at 2 am. The accused allegedly removed copper pipes from the AC unit installed outside the premises before fleeing the scene.

Following the complaint, Vasco police registered an offence under Sections 305 and 62 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Police said the accused remain unidentified and efforts are in progress to trace them as well as recover the stolen property. The investigation is being handled by Head Constable Saish Ajgaonkar of Vasco Police Station under the supervision of PI Vaibhav Naik and Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
